Throughout our history, our residents have made a commitment to give back to communities in the Grand Rapids, MI, area. Community-minded individuals on campus serve as educators or volunteers for a variety of outreach activities. Here’s a sampling of our efforts:
- Grand Rapids Homeless Shelter
Residents do intake at a downtown homeless shelter for families in need.
- Newborn Knitting
Caring hands on campus knit caps for area newborns.
- Africa Bandages
Residents wrap bandages to send to Africa.
- Construction Surplus Supplies
Residents spearhead donations to Mississippi for construction supplies.
- Habitat for Humanity
Volunteers help build homes for Habitat for Humanity.
Keep in mind, you do not have to be a current member of our retirement community to benefit from our Assisted Living, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing or short-term Rehabilitation services, nor will you have to pay an entrance fee to enter one of the areas noted above. In our short-term Rehabilitation program, we accept Medicare and are in-network providers for a number of managed care and Medicare Advantage programs.
